How to Set Up a Trade Show Pop up Display

Pop up displays are slowly taking over the trade show scene. Whether you are advertising a new service or displaying products, a popup stand is a must-have in your display. It creatively sends your message while ensuring you stand out of the crowd. With this in mind, it is critical for businesses to learn how to assemble these displays.

Here is a step by step guide on how a trade show pop up display is assembled. You don’t need any tools, and the process is so easy, you can do it alone.

Step 1: Pull Out the Frame

A pull up display comes with a frame structure. To set it up, pull it from the base and stretch it until the parts click into place. The frame is set when it can stand on its own.

Step 2: Attach the Magnetic Bars

The magnetic bars give the frame structure strength. They also allow you to attach your graphics to the display. Depending on the graphics you wish to include, add the bars to every quadrant of the structure. You should also attach some to the back of the display is not to be used as a wall.

Step 3: Unroll Your Graphics

How you attach the graphics will determine the final look of your stand. Always start from one end of the popup display and unroll your graphic slowly to its full length. Don’t leave any wrinkles or space at the bottom.

Step 4: Secure the Graphics

Next, hook or secure your graphics to the frame. Make sure they span the entire structure, and no panels are visible from either side.

Step 5: Repeat the Process for Other Displays

This step is optional and only applies to exhibitors using several displays. If you are lining up many trade show pop up displays to form a wall, repeat the process for each stand. Next, arrange the stands appropriately to make sure the message is complimentary or continuous.

Step 6: Attach Lights

Are you using light to draw attention to your display? Now is the time to attach them. This process will depend on the design of your stand. However, a typical popup display will have a cross-section molding on the back, forming a groove. Place the lights in the groove.

When choosing lights, make sure they add and not draw away from your booth. You should also ensure they don’t end up overwhelming your visitors.

Step 7: Add Accessories

Aside from lights, some popup displays allow the addition of accessories. These can include lightweight monitors, shelves, or counters. Before adding an accessory to your display, consult with your booth designer. They will help you understand what your pop up stand can hold and what would be too much.

Make sure you don’t overcrowd your stand. Pop up booths are designed to stand out on their own.
