What to Know About Traditional Pop Up Displays

A traditional pop up display can come together easily to fill up a trade show booth or space. You can add shelves, graphics, bubble panels, monitor holders, and back lighting. Traditional pop up displays also come in many different shapes and sizes. The panels can be made of fabric or vinyl and can display high quality graphics such as your company’s logo. A podium wrap is another type of traditional pop up display that can also double as a counter in your space. Below, we explain more about traditional pop up displays.

The Frame

The frames of pop up displays are typically accordion-style, which means they can be set up and dismantled very quickly. The frame of these displays is usually constructed of lightweight round aluminum tubes that join together at hubs. It is the hubs that allow you to hang the struts, or channel bars, for additional support. Most of the time, manufacturers offer a lifetime warranty for the frame, but it is important to check the details for each model. When the trade show is over, you can collapse the display and pack it away for each storing and shipping.

The Struts

The struts are vertical frame supports that provide the frame with more stability. The struts also allow the panels to be hung with the use of magnets, which are attached in multiple and simple ways to the hub. Some models use magnets that slip on, while others use a clip-on design. You can also find struts that will allow lights to be attached at the top, or that have features in the center that allow you to hang monitor holders or shelves.

Cases

The design of cases for pop up trade show displays vary widely. The majority of them are made with molded plastic. These models have wheels on one side and a removable top. Some tops of cases can even be used as a small step still when you are hanging graphics, lights, or hanging panels. If you wish to use lights in your pop display, many cases have a separate foam compartment for them, so they do not become damaged during shipping.

Podium Wraps

A podium wrap displays fabric or graphic panels that can easily be hooked and looped onto the case to cover it. The smooth shell some models incorporate can be used as a countertop, a meet and greet area, or just about anything else you need.

Fabric and Graphic Panels

Traditional pop up trade show displays use rollable graphic or fabric panels that can be attached to the frame using magnets. Fabric panels tend to be a bit more durable, but the quality on both types of panels is flawless.
