Five Design Tips for Your Trade Show Booth

It can be challenging to come up with new and innovative ideas for your trade show booth displays. However, bringing creativity to the table when designing a trade show booth is critical. A great booth design will draw in the visitors so they can learn more about your product and company. Below are five design tips that will set your trade show booth apart from the rest.

Place Your Product in Its Environment

Your product will really stand out to visitors if you can place it in its own environment. What does that mean? Imagine you are selling patio furniture. Instead of just bringing it in and setting it up on the exhibition’s cold flooring, create an outdoor booth, even if it is inside. Use real or imitation grass as flooring, create a deck for the furniture to sit on, and perhaps even place a few potted floors around the display.

Take it Up a Notch

Maybe you already have the right environment for your product. You cannot review it too many times to see if you can make certain improvements. Staying with the patio furniture above, there are likely ways you can drive home the theme even more. Have staff members dress in casual wear, just as they would if they were going to a friend’s barbecue. Have some paper cups filled with potato chips to pass out, or have someone walk around with a tray of chilled lemonade. These little touches go a long way when enhancing your booth’s design.

Use Professional Back Wall Graphics and Professional Table Tops

Everything in your booth should have a professional look. Using professional table top displays and wall graphics can help. If you are using something such as an outdoor scene described above, for example, a back wall graphic of a swimming pool can really add to the overall look.

Remember that Lighting is Key

You should never underestimate the importance of lighting. Place lights at the top of banner ads, as this has been shown to draw the eye to the display. Placing lights on display tables offering brochures can also draw attention to them and make them go even more quickly. Lighting can also contribute to the overall setting. For example, if you have a swimming pool as a back wall graphic, use a yellow tinted light to replicate sunlight. Also remember to be practical with your lighting, such as bringing extra lightbulbs in case they burn out.

Consider a Waterfall or Fountain

A water feature will add a great amount of interest and texture to your display. If you can add scents or lights around these features, it is even better. Do not limit yourself to only water, either. For example, a chocolate fountain with fruit and pretzels around it can also entice visitors into your booth.
